Kelley Morrell


Kelley Morrell is a Managing Director and Head of Asset Management in the Tactical Opportunities Group at Blackstone. In this role, she oversees a global team and is involved in the ongoing management and oversight of the group’s investment portfolio, as well as creating and driving value-added initiatives alongside the investment team.

Before joining Blackstone in 2017, Ms. Morrell served as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at CIT Group, and was a member of the Executive Management Committee. At CIT, she helped shape the company's strategic direction following its emergence from bankruptcy, and led numerous strategic transactions in the commercial and consumer finance sectors that contributed to CIT's transformation to a bank. Prior to that, Ms. Morrell served as senior director of the U.S. Treasury's Automotive Industry Financing Program during the Obama Administration, where she had primary responsibility of overseeing the taxpayers' investments in Chrysler Financial and Chrysler Group. Ms. Morrell previously worked as an Associate at Hellman & Friedman where she was involved in the evaluation and execution of private equity transactions, and in investment banking at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in its Financial Institutions Group.

Ms. Morrell currently serves on the boards of Rothesay Asset Management US, LocusPoint and Lombard International Administration Services Company LLC. She joined the Lombard International Board of Directors in October 2019.

Ms. Morrell graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College and received her MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.
